Our story

We started with a simple frustration: building takes too long.

For too long, building in Zambia has meant waiting. Waiting for blocks to be laid one by one. Waiting for concrete to cure under an open sky. Waiting through delays, rising costs, and material waste piling up on site.

ZAPCON was founded to change that. We cast wall panels, floor panels, and beams in our factory in Kitwe, under controlled conditions, then deliver them ready to install. What took weeks now takes days. What was once poured and hoped for is now engineered and proven.

The result is a better way to build: faster on site, greener in its footprint, and strong enough to last for decades. Less waste, better insulation, lower running costs, year after year. This is concrete progress, precast for a stronger Zambia.

Casting to order means far less material is wasted than in traditional block-by-block building. Our hollow-core panels insulate naturally, so the buildings we help create use less energy over their whole life.

We are measuring our recycled content, waste reduction, and carbon savings, and we will publish the figures here once they are verified. We would rather show a real number than make a green claim we cannot back.
